Next-Gen Portraits: You no longer have to switch to Portrait mode. If the camera detects a person, dog, or cat, it automatically captures depth information, allowing you to turn a standard photo into a portrait after you’ve taken it.
Design & USB-C Connectivity
The iPhone 15 features a first-of-its-kind color-infused back glass with a premium matte finish. The aluminum frame now has contoured edges, making it significantly more comfortable to hold. Most importantly, the switch to USB-C means you can finally use the same cable to charge your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even the updated AirPods Pro (2nd Gen).
Performance and Brightness
Under the hood, the A16 Bionic chip (originally in the 14 Pro) ensures everything from gaming to heavy multitasking is lightning fast. The display is also significantly brighter, reaching up to 2,000 nits peak outdoor brightness—twice as bright as the iPhone 14—so you can see your screen clearly even in the brightest South African sun.
